PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT

Dental exams + x-rays (new patients)

A critical discovery of all the working parts of your mouth, giving Dr. Moss the key information needed to provide treatment now and into the future ~ 60 minutes.

Check up + specific exams

Check-up exams are a re-evaluation of your teeth and mouth to check for changes from your last visit. Specific exams address specific concerns you may have about your mouth ~ 15 minutes.

Dental cleaning

Routine cleanings are essential for lifelong oral health. Dr. Moss uses a high tech Piezo Scaler that gently and effectively removes the buildup of harmful bacteria ~ 60 minutes but can vary depending on factors such as when you had your last dental cleaning.

Night guards, sports guards + retainers

To set you up with one of these appliances, two appointments are required.  The first is to take an accurate impression of your teeth ~ 30 minutes.  The second is to deliver and fit your appliance ~ 15 minutes.

RESTORATIVE TREATMENT

White fillings

When you develop a cavity, it can be fixed by removing the decayed area and filling it with composite. Dr. Moss is known for her careful and gentle technique and prides herself on selecting top quality composite resin filling material. Local anesthetic (freezing) is most often used to ensure the procedure is comfortable ~ 60 minutes but varies depending on the extent of the damage and the number of teeth being worked on.

Crowns + onlays (porcelain or gold)

When your tooth is too damaged to be fixed with a filling or worn down to the point where the chewing surface requires reinforcement, Dr. Moss might recommend rebuilding your tooth to its natural form and function by placing a crown on onlay. This procedure will require two appointments. The first is to prepare the tooth and provide a temporary crown/only ~ 90 minutes. The second appointment is to fit your permanent crown/onlay and cement or bond into place ~ 30 minutes.

Implant crowns

Missing a tooth can destabilize your dental arch and can result in a cascade of negative effects. To replace a missing tooth, Dr. Moss might recommend an implant, which is a complete tooth replacement. You will be referred to a specialist for the implant placement and receive the implant crown at Moss Dental Studio. Two appointments will be required for the implant crown. The first will be to take an accurate impression ~ 45 minutes. The second will be to deliver your crown and make sure it looks and fits perfectly ~ 45 minutes.

Porcelain bridges

There are some instances where replacing a missing tooth with a bridge instead of an implant is a good idea. This procedure “bridges” the gap between two teeth with on or more crowns, creating a fixed, natural looking solution. This procedure requires two appointments. The first ~ 20 minutes, and the second ~ 45 minutes.

Root canals

When you have a tooth that has been severely decayed or infected, the inside of the tooth might need treatment, and a root canal can be the magical fix. Dr. Moss’ root canal techniques ensure the procedure is as painless and relaxing as possible. Most root canals ca be completed in only one appointment, between ~ 60-120 minutes.

COSMETIC TREATMENT

Cosmetic bonding

Whether you want to fix a small gap or a chipped tooth, cosmetic bonding can be a very nice, conservative, and affordable solution to enhance your smile. Depending on the work being done, appointments can range from ~ 60 minutes to several sessions.

Tooth whitening

Moss Dental Studio uses only the best whitening solution for optimal results. The procedure takes two appointments, the first to take impressions ~ 30 minutes, and the second to deliver trays and whitening gel ~ 15 minutes. Completing in office will take ~90+ minutes.

Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are a thin shell of porcelain that are placed over the front surfaces of your teeth. They can change the colour, shape or length of your teeth, improving your smile. The key to a successful cosmetic outcome is meticulous planning. From consultations, photos, mockups, try-ins, and more, Dr. Moss is an expert at getting the details right to ensure the perfect look. The procedure can take up to five appointments.

BOTOX Cosmetic™

Dr. Moss may recommend moving your teeth for cosmetic of functional reasons. Often, this can be accomplished with Invisalign, a system of clean dental aligners, that has revolutionized tooth straightening. Treatment can vary from one month to two years.
